what i thought - the mummy: tomb of the dragon emperor

have never really been a fan of brendan fraser but somehow caught 'the mummy' movies one (the mummy) & two (the mummy returns). when the latest installment was released, it wasn't like i had ants in my pants wanting to watch it. i'll just wait for astro to show it & if i miss it or one of thousandth repeat, who cares... or so i thought.

hubby wanted to watch it so okaylah, we'll go. what did i think of the movie? its forgettable, thats what. i can only remember brendan fraser, jet li (in my opinion the only saving grace in the movie but alas! he only appeared like in the beginning & near the ending), michelle yeo (someone got her mistaken as michelle wee - i was like 'who is michelle wee? how is wee yeo??' needless to say that someone was annoyed!!), & errr, yeah thats that.

no rachel weisz. the replacement is some maria bello (saw her biography, couldn't place her movies until i saw coyote ugly. she played the hot hot bar owner). but in this movie, she didn't anything close to hot. don't believe me ah? see for yourself lah....and she looks better blond (something like molly sims, no? who is that? go search the internet lah you lazy bum!!). pic one is her in the mummy, pic two in coyote ugly & pic three is where she looks like molly sims.

so the story in a nutshell (sock it lah, i'll just copy, paste from some website & edit) - rick (brendan fraser) returns to combat the resurrected han emporer (jet li) & his terracota warriors, joined by his son alex (luke ford), wife evelyn (maria bello), her brother jonanthan (john hannah), a sorceress (michelle yeoh) with her two thousand year old daughter (isabella leong) & football kicking touchdown dancing yetis.

the jokes are no longer funny, there is no chemistry between the casts & there is nothing evil about the dragon emperor. geez.... what a waste of forty bucks!! takpelah, the hubby belanja.
