as usual, the weekend started on friday when the daughter goes for her music classes. decided to catch a late night movie so went and bought tickets to 'the mummy - tomb of the dragon emperor' (thats another story all together).
same ole same ole - had dinner, walked around a bit & headed on home. hubs went to the range to sweat it out a bit, the daughter & the niece lounging around doing their own thing and i caught a quick shower & a few zzz before the late show.
so quarter past eleven, we headed for the cinema. inched our way to look for parking till we settled for one that made us walk like a mile (or so it seemed) to the halls. so okay, we watched the movie (without falling asleep although i think i almost did), walked to the car looking forward to a nice warm cozy bed. shitty luck though, the car couldn't be unlocked. something was bloody wrong with the alarm. so there we were at 230am in the middle of an almost empty parking lot trying to unlock the car.
i had to call the daughter to come with the niece in my car to pick us up. went home, changed the batteries on the alarm (you know the thing with the keys), went back to the abandoned car hoping it was indeed a weak battery problem. press press press (and a hundred times more after that), but to no avail. agh!!! it was like 345am & we were still there.
so decided to leave the car at the parking lot & tend to it later in the morning. went home, finally got to bed at about 4am. two hours later the stupid alarm clock rang - sigh!! hubby had to send the niece to campus. thereafter the bloody phone rang & hubby went to the mechanics at about 900am.
the daughter had tuition later in the morning so no chance of sleeping till noon or catching up on lost snooze....so we practically breezed through the whole of saturday & part of sunday morning in a semi-comatose state. still sleepy...... :-(
oh yeah, hubby had to get the entire alarm system changed to a brand new one. blur blur blur...
